Education & Profession Master in Social work, India (specialized in HR), Master’s in Labor and Employment Relations, US. Worked in India for over 10 year in Human Resource area. Presently, independent HR and IT business consultant.
Family Members My wife Manjula Raghunathan works with Cummins Inc. We have two kids. Akshaya Sabapathy is nine years old, and Shashwat Sabapathy born Feb, 2009.
Hobbies Volunteering, sports and games.
Childhood Years & Schooling I was born in Chennai (India) and completed most of my schooling and college there. After completing my Masters, I worked for few multi national organizations.

In India Education comes first and sports second. The schooling systems are from 1st grade to 12th grade. We have three year bachelors degree and a two years Masters Degree.
How do you preserve and celebrate your heritage and culture? We catch up with friends, visit temples. The Indian Association and the Sunday Gurukul classes help students understand Indian culture and traditions.
Is there a celebration or festival that you particularly enjoy? Yes, Diwali (festival of Colors). This is an occasion where you share your love and affections with others (irrespective of your religious beliefs).
What do you enjoy about living in Columbus?
  • Clean and safe environment.
  • Land of opportunities.
  • Diversity

Was it difficult to adjust to life in Columbus? Not all. I have been in the U.S. for more than ten years. In fact, I like Columbus, more than any other place. The reason being:

  • It is safe
  • Great people
  • Good Schools
  • Very clean and great environment to bring up kids
What do you miss about your native country? The Food, festivals and my family members.
