Mission The purpose of Columbus Chinese Association (CCA) is to offer and promote Chinese Language and Culture to the local community of Columbus, Indiana.

Membership Info
  • The membership of the CCA association shall be open to all citizens and residents of the United States who are of Chinese decent or related to Chinese, or who have an interest in the Chinese Culture.
  • Persons who desire to become members of CCA shall become members automatically by communicating either in written or verbal form to any current CCA Board Directors a desire to become a member of CCA.
  • No member shall ever be required to pay any fee for becoming a member or maintaining a membership within CCA.
Activities & Programs CCA hosts a Chinese Language School (CCLS) on Sunday afternoons during the regular Spring and Fall Semester at Columbus North High School. The objectives are:

  • Familiarize our children with the Chinese language and culture
  • Promote Chinese language and culture in Columbus society
  • Chinese children will be able to speak, read, and write Chinese
  • Chinese parents will benefit from school associated activities
  • Support Columbus multi-cultural community activities, such as Golden Dragon project, Chinese Chess match, basketball game, fund raising, and picnic and sports event
  • Attract/Retain Chinese work force in town
  • Long term community service.
Festivals & Celebrations Organized by Association CCA celebrates the Chinese New Year, Chinese Spring Festival, hosts a summer picnic, sports events around year (volley ball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, golf, basketball), and field trips. Every year CCA takes an active role in the Columbus Ethnic Expo. China was the host country in 2008.
